Background:
Lifting Limits is a charity that works with schools to provide the skills and resources to recognise and correct gender bias, and to support pupils in challenging gender inequalities in the wider world. Once you realise how gender stereotypes permeate much of our curriculum, you realise why (for instance) only 1 in 5 physics A-levels are taken by girls. The charity works with primary schools to work on areas such as the books in the classroom to language used in PE to help promote gender equality.
Details:
The site is uses the core WordPress functions, but has several extensions and plugins for the charity’s needs, including a mail listserver, statistical packages, and contact forms.
Testimonial:
Rob is brilliant. He was quick to understand our needs, rich with supportive and thoughtful ideas and was fantastic in not just building our site but in helping us think strategically about how to use it. He also provides amazing ‘after care’, enabling us to adapt our site as our organisation grows. He’s a pleasure to work with – he listens, is positive, responsive, utterly reliable and just very, very good at what he does.
